TRANSITIONS CAN BE HARD...

They say transitions can be hard, but not this one. In fact, this move has been such a smooth transition I haven't thought much that it's been 5 weeks. As I've written before, there are many people who have helped me transition well into my new home. My family of course has played a huge role in this, but also my co-workers. By now I've written quite a bit about my Delhi experiences, but not so specifically my work experiences.

The office I work at is small, and that's just the way I like it. We have five fulltime people working out of Gurgaon/Delhi, one in Bangalore, and one in NYC. My co-workers are just great, everyone comes from different backgrounds so it truly is a collaborative environment. Also, all of us are within ten years of age difference, so you could say it's a fairly young office. From the first day I reached, I felt really comfortable with this group of people. And since that day, they have become my friends that I see the most. My co-workers Max and Vivaan especially remind me of my friends back home, which I'm sure has contributed heavily to my easy transition. When your office has great people, work is alot of fun! People aside, the work really is fun! I'm doing alot of interesting graphic design projects. The past few weeks, I've been working on illustrations, branding, and web design!

Last week we had an intense brainstorm heavy week. It was crazy and fun. My co-worker Itika flew up from Bangalore on Sunday, and my new co-fellow Agatha arrived on Tuesday! Everyday we had multiple group brainstorming sessions and after work we would all end up hanging out. So my week was packed (in a good way)! Most nights, I ended up staying up till 3am either chatting with my co-workers or working on freelance. Thursday night, my co-worker Max had a flight back to the US. (Not for good, just for a couple months.) Thursday also happened to be the 4th of July, so I decided, why not make a treat!? I found myself in the kitchen till 3am on Wednesday night making a cheesecake, after which my coworkers Max and Itika came down and we had chai and chitchatted. It was a great night! All things considered, the cheesecake turned out pretty well. As you can see from the photo above, I had to make some adjustments in the cooking process, but that's part of the experience!

This week we are starting a five week online course in human centered design! And this weekend, we are off to the hills for a refreshing couple of days out of the city. The fun just doesn't stop!

if you stumble upon a mason jar or any kind of jar with a lid, it's SUPER easy to make fresh cream :)
