ABOVE: cloudy skies leaving us hopeful for rain
As I've mentioned before, summer in Delhi means
HEAT! and I'm talking 100ยบ+ everyday. At night it cools down to the 90s (haha). To be honest, prior to my arrival, the weather was what made me really nervous. I know have a hard time in excessive heat, and yet I made plans to come to the hottest spot in India at the hottest time. Well, I've survived quite well. Sure, it's hot and by now I'm used to being sweaty but otherwise I've been alright. I stay hydrated and I have AC at home and work. So really, I'm not out in the sun too much. I keep telling myself that the fact that I've survived this heat means that I've already had a moment of growth ;)
Today, I woke up to cloudy skies and could feel a difference in the air. Everyone at work was excited at the chance of rain (something Delhi hasn't seen for months)! Of course by the time I got out of work, there was no rain, instead a bit of mugginess in the air. We'll stay hopeful though... and maybe we'll have to do a rain dance.
